STUMP GRINDING
When felling a tree, the lower section "the stump" is typical left as a flat surface or can be carved into artistic shapes such as mushrooms or one of our trademark birds.
If you do not want to have this stump, this can be removed in three ways:
• Digging - This can be done by hand or with a mini digger, but is time consuming and destructive to everything surrounding the stump
• Pulling - In open spaces the stump can be pulled from the ground using a large digger. Similar to digging, this is very destructive as the whole of trees root system is also pulled up
• Stump Griding - Is the most commonly used method to remove stumps. Using a specialist machine with large metal "teeth", the stump is gradually chipped away causing minimal damage to the surrounding area.
